This is a lifesize clay study bust for a full figures monument sculpture I am sculpting. The first casting of the full figure sculptures will be for the front of Saint Barbara's Church in Powell Wyoming. This bust is a study. The monument will be lifesize figures in a passion scene. This bust sculpture will be a totally separate sculpture cast in bronze for a indoor setting. The life-size sculptures will be full figures and will eventually include Mary and John standing at the foot of the cross.
This is a photo of the armature setup and the VERY beginnings of a new sculpture I am starting of a lifesize Christ on the cross. Stay tuned as I will start applying clay next to bulk out the shapes.
